One of the Twelve Characters
Inner Visionary

'I know what I want'
Inner Visionary resides in the Domain of Self and the Dimension of Purpose.
Inner Visionary is like the pin on a map; the bull's eye of a target, highlighting the road to be travelled. Inner Visionary gives you meaning. Its key role is self-motivation towards a clear Purpose in life. It allows you to step outside your frames of reference and allows imagination and innovation to thrive. It pushes you outside of your comfort zone and brings passion and possibilities to your leadership journey. Inner Visionary collaborates with the other three Inner Domain Characters in the following ways:
Who is Inner Visionary?
It tugs the heart towards a clear target; points out the goal that you desire to reach. If Inner Referee is about the rightness of a direction, then Inner Visionary illuminates the direction and destination you are traveling. Inner Visionary answers the question: 'What is my reason for being?' It is deeply connected to what inspires and lights up an individual internally and helps manifest the unique Purpose of every individual.
Inner Visionary is a highly intuitive Character. It is energetic, motivating, passionate, adaptive, joyful, focused, and future orientated. Its leadership role is as an inspirer and a positive force for fulfilling human potential.
What does Inner Visionary do?
- Inner Visionary gives the Inner Advisor a reference point to ensure it keeps in mind the direction of travel.
- Inner Visionary gives Inner Master insights into personal desire and extrinsic motivation. It allows Inner Master to apply its assets to moving forward where uncertainty exists.
- Inner Visionary will often give Inner Referee a challenge. It will push towards a less trodden road and force Inner Referee to assess potential consequences.
Where Inner Visionary sits in the model
At the heart of the Purpose Dimension is the question: Where are we going?
The Domain of Self is the inner domain: your attitudes, thoughts, beliefs and feelings. It is where self-leadership begins, and strong roots here allow more stretch in the outer Domains.
The other Characters in the Purpose Dimension are Navigator and Architect. The other Characters in the Domain of Self are Inner Master, Inner Referee and Inner Advisor.
