Oracle resides in the Domain of Context and the Dimension of Understanding.

Oracle connects the dots in systems. It Understands that the whole behaves differently and is more than the sum of its parts. It Understands that the relationship between these parts accounts for this difference. It notices and participates enthusiastically in networks that hold organisations and systems together. In a complex world, it provides insights and connections. Its key role is to know how various parts of a whole fit and work together. Oracle collaborates with the other three 'Domain of Context' Characters in the following ways:

Who is Oracle?

It Understands the world as it is and perceives reality clearly. It accurately reads complex systems that influence the way individuals, teams, and organisations behave. It grasps how layers relate to each other and how parts connect to the whole. Oracle can appear to predict the future but is simply a few steps ahead of those with less Understanding. Oracle's talent is for raising awareness of what is present in system dynamics. Every person belongs to a web of interrelating systems: family, work, organisations, communities, countries, political systems, ecosystem and even the solar system. This matrix of systems is intricate. Oracle's leadership role is to bring an Understanding of how these all have a bearing on each other.

What does Oracle do?

• Oracle gives Conductor the Understanding it needs to ensure a fuller and wider dissemination of its message.
• Oracle gives Custodian the insight into the wider system and thus, how to positively impact it for good.
• Oracle gives Architect insights into how a system works for it to move it in the direction the Architect desires.

Where Oracle sits in the model

At the heart of the Understanding Dimension is the question: Who or what needs to be known?

The Domain of Context is the outer domain: organisations, communities, society and stakeholders. It is where leadership reaches beyond the people you meet.

The other Characters in the Understanding Dimension are Inner Master and Empath. The other Characters in the Domain of Context are Custodian, Architect and Conductor.

The Virtues Oracle helps you build

Virtues emerge when Characters from different Dimensions combine. Because Oracle works in the Understanding Dimension, it contributes to three of the six Leadership Virtues:

• Prudent, the Practitioner who is a Specialist in Understanding and Ethics.
• Wise, the Practitioner who is a Specialist in Understanding and Purpose.
• Social, the Practitioner who is a Specialist in Understanding and Communication.
