Storyteller resides in the Domain of Others and the Dimension of Communication.

Storyteller experiences joy in engagement with others and sharing meaningful and purposeful narratives. It considers and selects its words with care. It tries to influence by employing a full range of skills and techniques. It owns its stories, understands their relevance, and knows how to Communicate them to others. The key role of Storyteller is to command the tools of personal Communication to accurately portray the leadership message. Storyteller collaborates with the other three 'Domain of Others' Characters in the following ways:

Who is Storyteller?

Its talent is to structure narratives that make connections, attract, and influence people. Storyteller can make mundane information interesting, engaging, and relevant. It knows how to shape Communication so that it lands on receptive ears. Storyteller collects appealing stories, providing powerful content for the range of Communication platforms available.

It constructs messages by paying attention to narrative, tone, body language and style. Storyteller is an influencer par excellence. People respond to stories; we allow them to enter our imaginations and hearts in ways that factual information does not. Storyteller knows this. It presents information in a way certain to move the recipient. This power to influence is more potent when coupled with the Understanding of the Empath. Together, Storyteller and Empath would know the right buttons, nuances, and references to impact the listener. Its leadership role is to find the right language with which you identify. Whether that be to hold up a mirror for you to recognise and reflect or shine a light to inspire and motivate.

What does Storyteller do?

• Storyteller gives Empath a stimulating tool which allows a deeper Understanding of others.
• Storyteller gives Mentor the language to guide and present the correctness of situations to others.
• Storyteller gives Navigator the capacity and competency to articulate in a way that motivates others.

Where Storyteller sits in the model

At the heart of the Communication Dimension is the question: What needs to be seen and heard?

The Domain of Others is the domain of relationships: how you behave with family, teams and the people you lead. It is where inner work becomes visible.

The other Characters in the Communication Dimension are Inner Advisor and Conductor. The other Characters in the Domain of Others are Empath, Mentor and Navigator.

The Virtues Storyteller helps you build

Virtues emerge when Characters from different Dimensions combine. Because Storyteller works in the Communication Dimension, it contributes to three of the six Leadership Virtues:

• Social, the Practitioner who is a Specialist in Understanding and Communication.
• Just, the Practitioner who is a Specialist in Ethics and Communication.
• Courageous, the Practitioner who is a Specialist in Purpose and Communication.
